Since 2016, it has been our mission to provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in-crisis school age children in Fairfield County, Connecticut, free of charge. New families apply every week for assistance. To meet this growing need, we depend on the generosity of individuals and businesses for financial support and donations of clothing and shoes.
Financial Support
Funding from private support is vital to the success of this program. Please consider a monetary donation in any amount.
- $50 provides new underwear and new socks for 2 children
- $150 provides a full week’s wardrobe for one child
- $250 provides new sneakers for 10 children
- $500 provides new winter jackets, hats, and gloves for 10 children

Donate Clothing & Shoes
Clothes To Kids gladly accepts quality new and used clothing and shoes that is appropriate for kids grades K-12 to wear to school. Each eligible child can shop twice a year for a full week’s wardrobe of school clothing; one wardrobe for fall/winter and one for spring/summer. See what’s in the CTKF Wardrobe!
Donation Guidelines:
- Please ensure that items are clean and in good condition.
- Underwear, bras, socks, and bathing suits must be new. We cannot accept these items as used.
- We are happy to accept spring/summer clothes or fall/winter clothing at any time of the year.
- We would very much appreciate if clothes are separated by gender & season, with the bags labeled accordingly.
- Delivery of your donation can be in either bags or boxes, however we usually find bags are easier for transport.

- SIZES USED TO ACCORDING TO SHOE SIZES i.e. sock size might be good for kids shoe sizes 10-21/2 etc – girls, boys or unisex
NEW Underwear (boxer briefs are preferable for all boys & mens underwear)*:

NEW Sport Bras*:

- Blazers, suits and dressy dresses for girls
- Sport jackets, khaki pants and suits for boys
- Belts, purses, hats, jewelry, backpacks, and winter accessories (hats, gloves, scarves) and will allow these as part of the wardrobe as available
*New items must be in unopened packages. We cannot accept used underwear, bras, socks, or bathing suits.
