What are your COVID-19 safety protocols?

Masks are required to be worn in the CTKF Store.

Do my children qualify to visit the CTKF Store?

Children who attend school in Fairfield County (K-12th grade, or working toward a GED), who are considered low-income or in-crisis can shop at the CTKF Store. Children under 4 years old are not eligible. See our Shop With Us page for more information.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Once you have completed a Register To Shop form and sent us a copy of proof of eligibility, our Appointment Coordinator will contact you to schedule an appointment. See our Shop With Us page for more information.

What do I need to bring to an appointment?

Parents and legal guardians must bring photo ID to the appointment, and at least two (2) large shopping bags for EACH child.

Where is the CTKF Store located?

The CTKF Store is located in the second floor of the Lathon Wider Community Center at 137 Henry Street in Stamford. There is an entrance from the parking lot on 34 Woodland Avenue. **Please Note: The store is open by appointment only.

Do my children need to come with me to shop?

It is recommended that the children come and shop, but it isn’t required. Dressing rooms allow kids to try on clothing.

How much clothing will the children get?

Each eligible child may shop twice in a 12-month period for a full week’s worth of school clothes. Volunteer personal shoppers work with families to help them find complete wardrobes for each child.

What is your return/exchange policy?

We do not allow returns and/or exchanges at this time.

Can parents get clothing too?

No. The clothing is for school children in grades K-12.

How often can the children shop?

Eligible children may shop twice in a 12-month period.  Fall/Winter clothing is available September through February. Spring/Summer clothing is available March through June.
