Spring has sprung at CTKF | Spring 2025 Newsletter

Setting up the new temporary CTKF store in DOMUS Building in Stamford CT

New season, new us (but same wonderful mission)! We had quite a busy start to 2025, as we faced an unexpected bump in the road. In early January the Lathon Wider Community Center closed due to flooding in the building, so we were left without a store for shopping!

We cannot thank our amazing volunteers enough for their dedication and efforts toward relocating, all to get ready in time for a spring reopening for our shoppers.

  • CTKF Store moves to temporary new location at the DOMUS building in Stamford
  • Comedy Club “Stand Up For Clothes To Kids” event raised $14,000!
  • CTKF partners with local non-profit Filling in the Blanks to expand our outreach to more families
  • Fred clothing store in Westport donates 10% of sales during event
  • And much more!

Clothes To Kids temporary move to DOMUS building in Stamford

The Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County store has temporarily moved to the DOMUS Building at 83 Lockwood Avenue, Stamford CT. PARKING LOT and STORE ENTRANCE at 15 FRANK STREET. Families can submit paperwork now, and appointments to shop will begin in April at the new location.

The move was necessary when the Lathon Wider Community Center (LWCC) closed unexpectedly in January for repairs to the building infrastructure. At this time, we do not know when the LWCC will reopen.

Monetary donations are essential during this period of transition. Please consider donating.

Stand Up for Clothes To Kids, a comedy fundraiser!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up and made the evening of stand up comedy so memorable! Your warmth, laughter, and support of Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County truly made a difference. We are deeply grateful to the New York Comedy Club of Stamford, CT for hosting this event and generously donating a portion of ticket sales to support our mission. Your support means the world to us!

Volunteers Needed!

Helps us change the lives of kids in need, by volunteering as a Personal Shopper in our Stamford CT Store. We welcome volunteers who can give a little or a lot of their time! (and have so much fun giving back too!).

Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County is 100% volunteer-operated nonprofit. Volunteers are a critical component to providing a quality service to children in our community. We are currently looking for adult volunteers to work as “personal shoppers” directly with our kids and their families to help them select clothing during their visit. The smiles of the kids and parents after they choose their wardrobe make it an experience you will never forget .

You can volunteer 1x a week, 2x a week, 2x a month or more. Our CTKF Store is open by appointment only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. To maintain client privacy, volunteers must be 18 years of age or older (and high school graduates) to help shoppers in the front of the store.
