Since 2016, it has been our mission to provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in-crisis school age children in Fairfield County, Connecticut, free of charge. New families apply every week for assistance. To meet this growing need, we depend on the generosity of individuals and businesses for financial support and donations of clothing and shoes.
Donate Clothing & Shoes
Clothes To Kids gladly accepts quality new and used clothing and shoes that is appropriate for kids grades K-12 to wear to school. Each eligible child can shop twice a year for a full week’s wardrobe of school clothing; one wardrobe for fall/winter and one for spring/summer. See what’s in the CTKF Wardrobe!
Accepted Items
- New underwear, sports bras, socks
- New bathing suits
- Tops (shirts, blouses, sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies)
- Bottoms (pants, jeans, shorts, leggings, joggers)
- Outerwear (winter and lightweight coats, jackets)
- Footwear (sneakers, sandals, winter boots)
- Dressy/Holiday wear (dresses, skirts, blazers, ties)
- Accessories (backpacks, winter hats and gloves, belts, purses)
Donation Guidelines
- Please ensure that all items are clean and in good condition.
- Underwear, bras, socks, and bathing suits must be new. We cannot accept these items as used.
- We would very much appreciate clothes separated by gender and season, with bags labeled accordingly.

Hold a clothing drive.
Clothing drives focused on our most needed items are a great way to collect clothing and shoes for Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County. “Kicks for Kids”, “Undie 500”, and “Drop Your Drawers” are just a few themes to consider!
We are happy to help with the planning at any step along the way.
Financial Support
Funding from private support is vital to the success of this program. Please consider a monetary donation in any amount.
- $50 provides a new winter jacket, hat and gloves for 1 child
- $150 provides a full week’s wardrobe for 1 child
- $250 provides new sneakers for 10 children
- $500 provides new winter jackets, hats, and gloves for 10 children
