Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County has a new home. This summer we are relocating to the Lathon Wider Community Center, at 137 Henry Street in Stamford.
We will continue Saturday curbside pickup at the Yerwood Center, through June. The last curbside pick up at the Yerwood Center will be Saturday, June 26, 2021.
In July we will say goodbye to the Yerwood Center as we move out and set up the CTKF Store at our new space. There will be no curbside pickup in July and our first curbside pickup at the Lathon Wider Community Center will be on August 14. We will continue with our curbside pickup system and slowly moving toward reopening the store for in-person client shopping in the (hopefully) not too distant future.
Since 2016, it has been our pleasure and honor to welcome families of the Fairfield County communities to our bright and cheery location at the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford Yerwood Center. The CTKF Store at the Yerwood Center was designed to appear just like a retail store, with colorful and friendly signage and décor, to create a fun shopping experience, where the clothing was free of charge. We have many wonderful memories of watching our shoppers leave the store smiling as they carried their extra large bags filled with new wardrobes for the kids.
CTKF is looking forward to serving more families at our great new space!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Obviously there is a lot to do to make this move happen. We will need volunteers at the end of June to help with the packing up of the Yerwood store, and also during the month of July to help set up the new store, unpack and organize clothing, set up the office, and more.
Providing a shopping experience in a store-like setting has always been one of the most important parts of our mission, but in light of the COVID-19 crisis we have created CTKF Curbside. This will minimize person-to-person contact while still connecting kids in need with clothing. The safety of our clients and volunteers is of utmost importance, therefore the CTKF Store will remain closed for client shopping until it is safe to re-open.
COVID-19 has forced all of us to adjust to a new normal. Here at CTKF we’ve transitioned to pre-orders for clothing and curbside pickup on Saturdays. Contact our Appointment Coordinator to arrange for a curbside pickup. Please include the family name and phone number in your message.
Please be prepared to share the following information about each eligible student:
First name, last name, date of birth, school, and grade.
Sizes for clothing, shoes, socks, and underwear.
Specific needs and special requests.
By determining the specific needs and tastes of the students using our curbside service we hope that they can be just as selective as they would be if they were shopping in person!
If you are new to Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County, please review how our program works.
With concerns regarding the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, and in efforts to keep our volunteers and shoppers safe, the Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County Store will be closed until further notice. All scheduled volunteer projects, shopping appointments, and service days have been cancelled, and will be rescheduled for a later date.
We are aware that families rely on us to provide clothing, especially at this critical time. When CTKF reopens, we anticipate a tremendous need for clothing. We want to provide the new and gently used items that children are going to urgently need. If you have new or gently used clothing to donate, please call the store at (203) 595-5664, and a volunteer will reach out to assist you in making arrangements for pick up.
The volunteers at CTKF wish for all of you to stay healthy and safe during this time. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to keeping in touch with all of you.
